- On the way into the grocery store recently, while walking across the parking lot, my son Aidan called to me to wait because he wanted to hold my hand. I was pleased at the opportunity because since he’s started kindergarten he rarely holds my hand. When he caught up to me and grasped my hand he said in a small breathless voice he “this way if we get hit by a car we can die together. I was rendered speechless. Later that night during his bath I asked him why he had said that and with out missing a beat he said,” that way we can go to god together”. I am definitely humbled by such sweet logic.
